My Recent Dream:
Stephen McGarrett (Jack Lord) was walking home from working over 10 hours at the Hawaii Five-0 State Police Department. He was walking because his triple-black 1968 Mercury ParkLane was broke down and getting fixed at Cooter’s Garage (Cooter (Ben Jones) was originally in Hazzard County but Boss Hogg kicked him out and heard Bo and Luke was in Honolulu). Meanwhile, an ex-outlaw by the name of Kid Curry (Ben Murphy) was driving in his black 1969 Dodge Charger and saw McGarrett walking. He stopped and asked him, “You need a ride, Mr. McGarrett?” and Stephen replied, “Sure.” McGarrett got into Kid’s car and then a few miles past the ‘Iolani Palace, Kid stopped the car and pushed McGarrett out the door and McGarrett fell into the street. He did not know what was going on and the next day, Danno (James MacArthur) found McGarrett. McGarrett had a cut on his head with a streak of blood running down his face, stopping before hitting his eye. He asked him, “What happened to you?” Danno saw a cut on the left side of his head. Stephen responded, “I don’t know. A guy named Kid Curry asked me if I wanted a ride and I said sure. The next thing I remember is he stopped the car and pushed me out.” Danno took McGarrett back to the Five-0 office and Daisy Duke (Catherine Bach) asked McGarrett how did he get a cut on the left side of his head and he told her the whole story. While this was going on, Margo Cooper (Carol Lawrence) was getting off Flight #150 at the Honolulu International Airport to see Stephen. Cooter finally got McGarrett’s car fixed and was bringing it back to him. Then, the General Lee, an orange 1969 Dodge Charger R/T with a 440 engine came zooming by. Cooter said to himself, “There’s them crazy Duke Boys again.” Meanwhile, Margo got into a taxi taking her to the ‘Iolani Palace. The Five-0 was wrapping up the final points of the case “The State of Hawaii vs. Wo Fat & Charlie”. Danno said the final points of the case were:
• Wo Fat and his partner Charlie were arrested and charged with murder one, 10 counts by HPD.
• Wo Fat & Charlie were convicted by Judge Woods
• Sentenced to 31 years to Oahu State Prison.
Margo arrived at the palace and asked McGarrett’s secretary, Jenny Sherman (Peggy Ryan), “Is Mr. McGarrett in? My name’s Margo Cooper.”
Jenny Sherman: Yes, he’s in. I will let know that you are here.
Margo Cooper: Thank you, Miss Sherman.
Jenny: You’re welcome.
McGarrett’s phone buzzed and Jenny told him that Margo Cooper was here and she wanted to see him. McGarrett told Jenny to send her in. Margo came in and said, “Aloha, Stephen.” McGarrett smiled and replied, “Aloha, Margo. Come in.” Danny, Kono (Zulu), Chin Ho (Kam Fong), Duke (Herman Wedemeyer), Ben (Al Harrington), and Daisy Duke (Catherine Bach) left the office, leaving McGarrett & Margo alone.
Meanwhile, Kid Curry called his partner, Hannibal Heyes (Pete Duel) and told him what he did to McGarrett. Heyes was furious at him:
Hannibal Heyes: Kid?! Why did you do that? You know that you’re risking the amnesty.
Kid Curry: Heyes, you know that I don’t care about our amnesty. You’re the only one of out of the two of us who is going to get it.
Hannibal Heyes: Just because you think that doesn’t mean that you ain’t going to get it.
Back in McGarrett’s office, Margo and Stephen were talking about their relationship that they had in 1998 then 10 years later about rekindling it. Margo told McGarrett that she quit her job as a photographer and now she’s planning to live in Honolulu but she needs somewhere to live. McGarrett replied, “Why don’t come and live with me? No one does except for Daisy, who isn’t here because she’s in the hospital.” Margo said, “Sure. “ McGarrett called Danno into the office and told him, “I want you & DaisyMarie to take charge of Five-0. I also want you to call Captain von Trapp in Austria and also have him take over.”
Danny called the Captain and the Captain (Christopher Plummer) said that he was boarding the flight to Hawaii and will be there with his wife, Maria (Julie Andrews).
McGarrett & Margo left the ‘Iolani Palace and got into his 1968 Mercury ParkLane. Suddenly, McGarrett saw Bo & Luke going 70 miles an hour. He got into his car and began his hot pursuit of Bo & Luke.
McGarrett picked up his CB and said, “McGarrett to Bo and Luke Duke. McGarrett to Bo and Luke. Do you read me?” Bo & Luke responded that they can here him. McGarrett warned Bo & Luke to slow down or he was going to pull them over and their licenses, so the two Duke Boys slowed down. Meanwhile, Daisy was getting out of the hospital after 1 month since her surgery to pull a bullet out of her stomach. She called McGarrett on the CB to tell him that she was out of the hospital. McGarrett told her that she, Danno & Captain von Trapp were going to be taking over Five-0.
Captain von Trapp and Maria arrived at the Honolulu International Airport from Flight #150 and were on their way to the ‘Iolani Palace. They arrived at the Palace and asked where the Five-0 offices were. They got to McGarrett’s office when Jenny asked who they were and they told her that McGarrett had put the Captain, Danno and Daisy in charge of Hawaii Five-0.
During this, Margo & McGarrett was going to Kahala beach. Steve knew Hawaii really well and Margo was curious about Hawaii so during their drive, Steve told her all about Hawaii, what the word Honolulu means and so on.
Unknowingly, the Captain had become stern again because Maria was dying from stomach cancer and he had to handle the 9 children that he now had. He began to tell the Five-0 officers that all of them, including McGarrett, had to wear police uniforms. Danny could not believe that Steve had put such a stern man in charge. The Captain said, “As long as I am in charge of Five-0, beginning tomorrow, you will do what I say. Now, I suggest you enjoy your last day as being freecare officers.” The Captain and Maria left McGarrett’s office. All of them were so mad at McGarrett for putting such a stern, stern in charge of Five-0. Kono said, “ I rather have McGarrett take charge of Five-0 then have someone who has been stern for half of his life.”
Meanwhile, when Daisy had a chance, she called McGarrett on the CB (through Central Dispatch), telling him what the Captain was planning to do.
Conversation Between McGarrett, Margo & Daisy + Central Dispatch:
Daisy Lord: Five-0 calling Central Dispatch. Five-0 calling Central Dispatch.
Central Dispatch: This is Central Dispatch, go ahead Five-0.
Daisy: Patch me through to McGarrett.
(McGarrett’s car)
Central: Central Dispatch calling McGarrett. Central Dispatch calling McGarrett. Come in car one.
Stephen McGarrett: This is McGarrett. Go ahead Central.
Daisy: Steve? We’ve got a huge problem.
McGarrett: What’s wrong?
Daisy: You remember how you put the Captain in charge of Five-0?
McGarrett: Yeah?
Daisy: Well, he says he’s taking over Five-0 and making all of us wear uniforms. Including you.
McGarrett: What?
(McGarrett was furious at this. He couldn’t believe that his friend, Captain von Trapp, is taking over Five-0)
McGarrett: Okay, I’ll be there in a couple of minutes.
Daisy: Okay. Over & out.
Margo asked Daisy what had happened to his face, since she saw a cut on his head, and why the Captain was beginning to act stern again. McGarrett told her that Maria, the Captain’s wife, was dying of stomach cancer and he had 9 children to take care of. He also told Margo that he was married before but his wife died. No more music, laughing and they (7 at the time), had to have a governess and wear uniforms.
The von Trapp children:
1. Liesl (Charmian Carr); age 24
2. Friedrich (Nicolas Hammond); age 22
3. Lousia (Heather Menzies); age 19
4. Kurt (Duane Chase); age 19
5. Brigitta (Angela Cartwright); age 18
6. Marta (Debbie Turner); age 21
7. Gretl (Kym Karath); age 16
8. AnnaMarie (Angelina Jolie); age 17
9. Destiny Hope (Miley Cyrus); age 16
Margo could not believe that the Captain had so many children and with Maria dying, he had to take care of all of them, except for Liesl & Friedrich. Margo told McGarrett that she was never going to have 9 children. She’s never had any before and she doesn’t want any now. Back at the Five-0 offices, Danny, Kono, Chin, Ben & Duke were planning a way so one of them could sneak out tomorrow and tell the Governor (Richard Denning) what the Captain was up to. They were hoping that Daisy could escape and hope that the Governor will kick the Captain out of Hawaii and make sure he doesn’t come back for another 3 years.
