I was able to finish my dream last night. The dream left off at where Jack asked me to go out to dinner with him and I said yes. The place we were at was Sam’s (Place he had asked Rosemary Quong to have dinner with him at 8:00 “Cocoon”). I decided to try Hawaiian pizza because Jack had said it was really good. I tried the pizza and he asked:
Jack: How do you like this pizza, Miss Daisy?
I replied:
Daisy: This pizza is really good! I have never tried it and I really like it.
We talked about what I did when I was a kid and we also talked about what a day on the set of The Dukes of Hazzard was like and here’s what I told him:
A typical day on the set of the Dukes was like this. We would arrive at the studio in Georgia to begin filming a certain episode. A lot of the actors would mess up their lines and the director, including me would start getting mad at whoever messed up. During break, we would eat, go over the script or talk about the series. I also told him that the creator of Dukes wanted me to dye my hair blonde, wear really short shorts and wear tight shirts and Jack asked me if I wanted to do a character like that and I said ‘no, because I’m not blonde haired, I don’t do really short shorts or really tight shirts.’ Jack was glad I said no because no character on TV should be like that.
Later on that night, Jack & I got done eating dinner when he asked me if I would rather stay on Five-0 or go back to Dukes and I told him ‘I’d rather be on Hawaii Five-0 playing McGarrett’s girlfriend or an HPD officer than have my hair dyed blonde, wear really short shorts and really tight shirts.’ My dinner date with Jack Lord ended and he took me to my house on 405 Piioki Street and said ‘I’ll see you on the set the next day on the set. Aloha.’
The next day, I arrived on set in my 1969 Dodge Charger aka the General Lee. John Schneider, who played Bo Duke on Dukes, had given me the car for my 19th birthday. Jack had never seen a car like the General Lee since he drove his triple-black 1968 Mercury ParkLane for the 2 seasons of ‘Five-0’ so far. He said to me about my car:
Jack: I have never seen a car like this one. Painted orange, ‘01’ on the doors, rebel flag on top, GENERAL LEE painted above both doors, a pushbar and Dixie horn. My car’s just a plain old Mercury.
I was really surprised that he liked my car. I told him that I liked his car better than I do my own car. We were still filming the episode “Time & Memories” and we were filming the last scene of the episode. The next episode we were filming was “The Singapore File” which Leonard Freeman wanted me to play McGarrett’s secretary because Marj Dusay was playing Nicole Wylie. (This version of “The Singapore File” is different than the real version. Nicole Wylie comes back to see McGarrett but she’s in Singapore getting her stuff and waiting for him to come and get her). Len explained the episode:
Len: The next episode we are going to film is called “The Singapore File”. This episode will be about when Nicole Wylie, played by Marj Dusay is back in Singapore getting her things and she has called McGarrett to come back to Singapore to get her. Meanwhile, Ravasco is out of jail and planning to kill Nicole & McGarrett. Now, Nicole and McGarrett will get back to Honolulu safely but Ravasco and his men are staying at the Ilikai Hotel when they receive the news that Nicole and Steve have safely arrived in Hawaii and now Ravasco is sending out 2 of his best men to find out if Nicole and Steve are at either McGarrett’s house, a hotel room or at Five-0 Headquaters (‘Iolani Palace).
(This is the description of the real version of “The Singapore File”)
At a club in Singapore, a fight breaks out and a man is stabbed to death by Victor, while Nicole Wylie flees the club. She calls McGarrett back in Hawaii and asks him to come to Singapore to take her back, she is afraid that a mob hoodlum Ravasco has sent Victor to kill her and prevent her from being a witness against Ravasco.
McGarrett leaves immediately and upon arriving in Singapore, meets Inspector Fong. The Singapore police give McGarrett a car and driver and he goes to the address listed for Nicole, only to be handed a message to meet her at another club in Singapore. There he discusses the case with her and the need to get back to Hawaii. They leave out the back door only to be confronted by Fong who has been bought off by Ravasco. McGarrett uses the police driver he was assigned as a shield and takes the life of Fong. Now he and Nicole are fugitives and he must get out of Singapore through other means. They board a cargo ship headed to the Philippines under a pseudonym married couple the Carvers only to find out Ravasco has a plant on the ship to kill them both.
McGarrett is attacked but manages to dispose of the killer overboard as they continue on to the Philippines. He gets a message out to the Five-O team of his whereabouts and arrival plans and Chin Ho flies to the Philippines to meet him. When the ship makes port, Chin asks about the Carvers and is told they disappeared at another stop but left a message where to meet. Also in the Philippines is Victor, who overhears and arranges his own greeting party to kill McGarrett and Nicole. At a shrine where the meet takes place, Victor arrives first and his group start shooting. McGarrett returns fire as Chin and the Philippine police arrive to seal the area saving McGarrett.
The episode ends back in Hawaii as McGarrett and Nicole are at the airport. The trial is over, Ravasco was found guilty, and Nicole is headed back to the mainland. She and McGarrett embrace and kiss, he wishes her the best and tells her to come back, Hawaii is his beat and he will always be there.
I WILL FINISH MY DREAM TONIGHT BECAUSE I HAVE LOST SLEEP FOR THE PAST 3 NIGHTS BECAUSE OF MY BAD COLD
