Shane Gray: David, I want to introduce you to a song that I wrote that I think will help you in finding the right girl. It helped me with Mitchie. *hands paper to David*

David Banner[looking at paper]: These lyrics are nice. What’s the song called?

Shane: This song’s called “Gotta Find You”. Here’s what it sounds like. *picks up guitar*. “I need to try to get to where you are . Could it be you're not that far?”

David: Sounds like a great song. May I borrow your guitar? I want to try it. *gets guitar from Shane*. “I need to find you. I gotta find you . You're the missing piece I need.” Thank you for telling me about this song.

Shane: Anytime, David. *looks at watch*. I better get going. My brothers and I need to catch a plane to California. Good luck, David.

David: Thank you. Hope you come back to Hazzard soon. What about your guitar?

Shane: You can keep it. I’ve got another one. See you later.

David: Bye. *watches Shane go out door and picks up guitar* *starts singing and LaurieAnne plus Mariette are listening. *

David[starts playing guitar]: Every time I think I'm closer to the heart of what it means to know just who I am. I think I’ve found a better place to start but no one seems to understand. Episode 2: This is Me

Mariette Hartley: How are you doing, Mitchie?

Mitchie Torres: I’m doing pretty well. Heard about David’s wife.

Mariette: Yeah. He’s been down all day. He’s trying to find the right girl because he doesn’t want to be alone again.

Mitchie: Was Shane here?

Mariette: Yeah. He was here two days ago. He introduced a song called “Gotta Find You” to David and he’s been singing it for the past two days.

Mitchie: I couldn’t blame David about don’t want to be alone.

Since Shane gave him that song, I’m going to give you a song called “This is Me”. When Shane heard this song, he knew I was the right girl.

Mariette[gets paper from Mitchie]: Thanks, Mitchie. How does the song go?

Mitchie[sits at piano]: “This is me. You're the missing piece I need. The song inside of meThis is me. You're the voice I hear inside my head.”

Mariette: That’s a beautiful song. Thanks for giving it to me.

Mariette[begins to play ‘This is Me’ on Piano]: “I’ve always been the kind of girl that hid my face. So afraid to tell the world what I’ve got to say. But I had this dream bright inside of me. Mariette and David: “This is real. This is me. I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. Gonna let the light shine on me. Now I’ve found who I am. There’s no way to hold it in. Mariette: “Now I found who I am. There’s no way to hold it in. No more hiding who I want to be. This is me. “ *after the song finishes*: You really miss her, don’t you?

David: Yeah. I’ve been missing her since she died.

Episode Three: If Ain't Got You

[Scene between David Banner and Mariette Hartley]

Mariette Hartley: How have you been doing since Carolyn died?

David Banner: I've been doing pretty well. McGee called me a couple of days ago. He told that he heard about Carolyn and he said was sorry and also said sorry for chasing me after all these years and blaming me for murder.

Mariette: It's nice he called you. I heard you singing a couple days ago. You sing very nicely.

David: Thanks. No one, except for Brenda, knew I sang. I heard you singing yesterday. Did Mitchie give you that song?

Mariette: Yeah. She told me that Shane gave you that song you were singing,

David: Yeah, he did. He knew I didn't want to be alone again so he gave me that song to help me find the right girl.

Mariette: You think you'll find her?

David: I think I've already found her and she's sitting right in front if me.

Mariette[realizing that it's her]: David,,,are you saying I'm the right girl?

David[touching Mariette's hand]: Yes, I am. You're beautiful, smart and you remind me of Carol a lot.

Mariette: Thank you, David,

David: Your welcome. [thinking about something]. Mariette, I just realized something?

Mariette: What is it?

David: I think I know why Shane and Mitchie gave us those songs, They knew that we were perfect for each other,

Mariette[realizing it too]: You're right, David, They knew that we were perfect and they figured those songs would help us. [She sees David looking worried]. What's wrong, David?

David: What about my damn condition that I'm dealing with? Something could happen and I could regret it for the rest of my life!

Mariette[reassuring him]: David,,,it's going to be alright. You're in control of this dark/primitive side you have. Nothing bad's gonna happen.

David[getting angry]: It's not going to be alright! Since I injected that drug again, it's gonna get out of control! It's not going to be safe!

Mariette[worried]: David, please don't be angry. I know it's going to be rough,

David[walking towards her]: I'm sorry for getting angry at you. I didn't mean to,
