Veteran actor Jack Colvin was cast as tabloid reporter, Jack McGee, for the National Register, who would chase the Hulk throughout the series and he, in some episodes, is led to believe that David Banner is still alive.
In the pilot, McGee saw the Hulk carrying Elaina, thought that Banner was burned alive in the explosion, and he thinks the Hulk caused the fire and murdered Elaina.
