Veteran actor/director/producer Bill Bixby was approached by Kenneth Johnson, creator/co-producer, in 1977 to take on the role of Dr. David Bruce Banner in a new sci-fi series based on a comic book called "The Incredible Hulk". This perhaps, would become Bix's most famous role.
